"

Marlene Millar and Philip Szporer’s marvelously entertaining multi-disciplinary take on the male mid-life crisis. Mixing solo dance, collective scat, humour and pathos, Victorian gothic animation and great music, this Montreal stage adaptation is never less than fiercely alive.

"

Capturing dance performances on film is one of the trickiest things that a filmmaker can do, and here, Millar and Szporer manage it with astonishing intelligence, grace and elegance.

"

…dancers Marc Béland, Marc Daigle, Benoît Lachambre and Ken Roy share their personal views and perform some astounding, beautifully framed and lit work, punctuated by humour, jazz and chimerical animated drawings.

"
